WCAG 2.2 Level AA — Substantially Conforms
Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for improving accessibility for people with disabilities across three levels: A, AA, and AAA.
axiya.consulting is designed and developed to substantially conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. “Substantially conforms” means the large majority of success criteria are met. We self-assess regularly and address any identified issues as a priority.
Technical Specifications
This website relies on the following technologies for conformance:
- Semantic HTML with landmarks, headings, and lists
- CSS including
prefers-reduced-motionandprefers-color-schemesupport - Progressive-enhancement JavaScript — the site is fully readable and navigable without it
- ARIA roles, properties, and states where native semantics need reinforcing
Accessibility Features of This Site
- A “Skip to main content” link at the top of every page
- Descriptive, unique page titles and a single
<h1>per page - Text and interface colours meet WCAG 2.2 AA contrast minimums (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text and UI) in both light and dark themes
- A visible
:focus-visibleindicator on every interactive element - All form fields have programmatically associated labels
- All interactive elements are keyboard operable, including the mobile menu (Escape to close) and the testimonials carousel (arrow keys, buttons, and dots)
- Animations and the count-up statistics respect your reduced-motion preference — set either by your operating system or in our on-site “Display preferences” control — and stop entirely when reduced motion is requested
- The colour theme honours your operating-system preference on first visit, and remembers your manual choice thereafter
- No content flashes more than three times per second
- ARIA live regions announce dynamic changes such as form confirmation
Compatibility with Assistive Technologies
This site is built and tested to be compatible with recent versions of:
- JAWS and NVDA with Chrome/Firefox on Windows
- VoiceOver with Safari on macOS and iOS
- TalkBack with Chrome on Android
- Keyboard-only navigation and 200% browser zoom
- Windows High Contrast / Forced Colors mode
Known Limitations
We strive for full conformance and are transparent about gaps:
- Any third-party embedded content we add in future (for example, a calendar-booking widget) may not fully conform; we will vet vendors for accessibility before adopting them.
- Downloadable documents will be published to PDF/UA (ISO 14289) where applicable.
